Up to 2010 you could have mistaken the “european project” – if you had been an extraordinarily gullible person that is. You could have considered it as an attempt to bring about long term change in a controlled way. Something like a long and winding road, giving the opportunity to phase out “Austria” and to blend in “EU” without violating the constitutional basis of the republic (too much). Der österreichische Finanzminister Michael Spindelegger hat am Samstag im ORF-Radio erklärt, die Wähler sollten in Sachen Hypo “nicht den Feuerwehrmann für den Brand bestrafen” (er meinte sich selbst) und man benötige auch keinen Untersuchungsausschuss, weil ohnehin jeder wisse, wer dafür verantwortlich sei. There is plenty of evidence, that the euro crisis was used to vice-like force together european nation states. Most of the post 2010 so called reforms, which were imposed on the european nations, would have never been possible without a crisis. Aus diesem Anlass habe ich die geplante Reihenfolge meiner Veröffentlichungen wieder geändert und stelle einen Unterabschnitt meines 7. Kapitels zum Download zur Verfügung. Älteren Semestern mag der Spruch noch geläufig sein: 1985, als sich in Österreich ein monströser Fall von Versicherungsbetrug und Polit-Korruption zusammenbraute, bei dem ein Schiff versenkt und sechs Menschen zu Tode gebracht worden waren, meinte der damalige Justizminister, dass für eine Anklage zu wenig strafrechtlich relevantes Material vorliege.  Es erklärt, was unter Volkssouveränität verstanden wird, einer Lehre, aus der die demokratischen Staaten bisher ihre Herrschaftsberechtigung bezogen haben. Diese Doktrin hat sich als Antwort auf die “Fürstensouveränität” entwickelt, mit der die absoluten Herrscher der frühen Neuzeit ihre Machtansprüche begründet haben. Noch heute beginnen fast alle demokratischen Verfassungen mit dem Satz “Alle Gewalt geht vom Volk aus.”

The series of publications begins with the 9th chapter, in the middle of my book. Starting point is the concept of “sovereignty of the people”. This was the answer that the age of enlightenment gave to a previous doctrine, the “sovereignty of monarchs”. People’s sovereignty is the corner stone concept of democracy up to this day.

Tellingly, todays politicians, who obtained their office by an election process, disavow this principle, asserting that it is not compatible with the world in which we live. This applies especially to EU politicians and policy makers. [Read more...]
